Rainy days hould be spent at home with a cup of tea and a good book.
Catch me if you can….
This game of ‘catch me if you can’ happens almost happens between the crow and the German shepherd Theo. Both are our friends. My wife give food to this crow every day. Sometimes it comes to the kitchen door and ask for food. Between the crow and Theo , the crow is the winner so far. Both are intelligent in different ways….i love our backyard.

Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come. Henri Nouwen
Periyaar, the big river
As kids we used to cross this river in a canoe every day to go to school. Then the ferry service started, followed by the bridge which connected us to the nearest city. That was around forty years back. I captured this photographs today morning, and I feel miserable. This is the beginning of the rainy season, and still the river is a far cry from it’s glorious past. It is much much worse than last year. Our dear Periyaar (means big river in malayalam, the local language of Kerala) is dying, and none cares about it. I feel miserable in my heart. Have we reached a point of no return. #saveperiyaar
The ferry is struck in sand, due to low water level.
